We have lots of games. (Holly) - We have games like “Snakes and Ladders,” “Angry Birds,” and lots of others. (Rolanda) - It does not snow in Melbourne. There is snow on Mount Buller and other places. (Vishwa) - It is fun in Australia. There are lots of places to go. (Pippa) - Australia is a beautiful country to visit. Australia has kangaroos. They like to lie down on the grass. Australia has a little bit of snow on the mountains. (Ayska) - In Australia there is Sea World. (Macey) - Australia can get very hot and it can get very cold. (Isabella) - Australia is the only country with wombats. Wombats are interesting because of that. (Oktavius) - We have echidnas in Australia. They are similar to porcupines because they also have spines on them. (Rachel) - In Australia we have emus. We have beautiful places in Australia. We also have really yummy food. The Fete is a school fundraiser that we have each year at Brunswick South West Primary School. The students wrote about their favourite thing at the Fete.
Jean: I liked going round and round on the sizzler.
Sofia: My favourite thing at the Fete was the Giant Slide.
Pippa: The giant slide was fun.
Giulia: I liked the rides. The best part was the Teacup ride.
William: I went on the giant slide. It is the biggest slide. It is great!
James: My favourite ride was the Sizzler! It went around and around very fast!
Oktavius: I went on the Jumping Castle which you jump on. Sometimes there is a slide. You have to take your shoes off. I went on with William who is in my class. It is very fun.
Rachel: I liked the Fete because at the Trash and Treasure I found a moose and named it Marvin.
Ayska: At the Fete I really liked the Sizzler and the giant slide and the jumping castle! I went to the rides with Vishwa. My favourite ride is the Sizzler. The BEST!
Holly: I went on the Sizzler. It is a ride that swings around. It goes to each side. The biggest person gets squished.
Andrew: My favourite thing was the Sizzler because it was fun!
Rolanda: My favourite thing was the Sizzler where it spins around and you get squished.
Oliver: At the Fete my favourite thing was the sizzler! The sizzler is a ride that goes around and around so so so fast. It has little car thingies that you sit in.

Alex: My favourite thing at the Fete was the jumping castle. It was awesome. Cheryl and I went on it together and went down the slide. I screamed and then went on another ride. I loved it on Friday.
Reef: I went on the giant slide 13 times. I found Aris and we had a race down the giant slide.
Cheryl: It was fun at the Fete, especially the GIANT SLIDE!!! It was huge, it has curves and you have to get a mat to sit on. When I went on the third lump I felt that I had goose bumps! I LOVE the GIANT SLIDE LOTS!!!!
Max: I went on the Thomas the Tank the ride.
